RBGESP is Gigabit Ethernet Surge Protector that can be used to protect the network from lightning or surge damages. The GESP units can usually absorb multiple impacts, but make sure to check their condition after each surge. For attachment of GESP units, MikroTik recommends using PVC zip ties. Just don’t make it too tight.
