Bei dem RB1100AHx4 handelt es sich um einen leistungsfähigen Router mit 13 Gigabit-Ethernet-Ports, angetrieben von der Annapurna Alpine AL21400 CPU mit vier Cortex-A15-Kernen, die jeweils mit 1,4 GHz getaktet sind, für einen maximalen Durchsatz von bis zu 7,5Gbit/s. Das Gerät unterstützt IPsec-Hardware-Beschleunigung (bis zu 2,2Gbps mit AES128). Es wird mit einem 1U-Rackmount-Gehäuse, einer seriellen RS232-Schnittstelle und zwei redundanten Netzteilen (mit -48v DC Telekom-Stromversorgung und 802.3at/af-Unterstützung) geliefert.
